Styling guide

The question I'm asked most: which type of clothing should I wear for our photo session?

The best thing to wear are clothes that you yourself like to wear, outfits that make you feel good and that are comfortable. Together with the environment, the colour palette sets the tone and vibe of your photosDo you prefer a warmer style? Go for warm colours such as brown, rust or orange. Make sure to pair these colours with jeans or light neutral tones for added contrast. Do you prefer a lighter style? Choose cream, beige or white as your base colour and pair with jeans, taupe or kakhi colours. Take a look at some of the colour palettes below that I know work well on camera!

Dit you know that there is also a client closet you can use? Take a look here to see which dresses and other clothing items are available for you to wear during your session!

Warm tones

Do you prefer more warm toned photos? Choose warm colours with fine prints and soft fabrics for a cosy and warm feel. Perfect for couples or families during a golden hour photoshoot.

Natural tones

A combination of whites/creams and soft natural brown tones. The combination creates soft, natural looking photos where all attention is on you. Perfect for a family or couple session in the heat, at the beach, in the woods or in the snow.

Khakis & creams

Do you prefer a bit more colour? Choose for though khaki greens in combination with white and cream. Perfect to please dads and boys.

Whites & creams

Timeless white. With a cream or white outfit you'll be able to create a romantic and summer vibe instantly. Combine with taupe or beige for your partner and/or boys.

Denim mood

Simple, classic and oh so pretty on photo: choose a combination of whites/creams and denim for timeless cohesion. Diversify with different textures such as lace and knits, and add different colours of whites and creams.

Touches of black

Tough and classic. Choose for some touches of black to create contrast with your environment. Timeless and nice for both a city and natural location. Don't choose all black outfits but combine with some licht pieces and soft fabrics.
